Why It’s Moronic
Oh, where to start? Let’s see. First of all, I think a prerequisite of being a “very giving person” is never saying the sentence “I am a very giving person.”
Secondly, what does Avril Lavigne think Katrina victims are going to do with six boxes of checkerboard suspenders and XXS wife-beaters? (I mean, have you been to New Orleans? Those people like to eat.)
Lastly, how gauche is it to publicize the fact that you don’t pay your employees well? (Calling them “workers” is the cherry on the shit sundae.) That’s certainly not smart marketing or image promotion for the Avril machine. More importantly, though, underpaying people who support your lucrative career is low-class, repugnant, and decidedly not “very giving” of you, even if you occasionally “reward” them with boxes of your stanked-up Hot Topic leftovers.
